Ending Homelessness in Virginia Beach: Recognizing Our Past, Present and Future  (December 8, 2009 City Council briefing presentation)
On April 29, 2009, a meeting was held where over 130 faith community members, city representatives and service providers in Virginia
Beach came together with one shared mission:
To realize our personal and collective responsibility to our
fellow man, and mobilize our community to end homelessness.

This meeting has since led to the formation of BEACH (Bringing an End to All City Homelessness), a community partnership between
citizens and faith, business, non-profit and city organizations. Individually, each entity has made an impact on the homeless community,
but BEACH believes we can achieve much more if we work together.
